FORTIS GmbH is pleased about your visit to our website as well as your interest in our company and our services.
We take the protection of your personal data very seriously and collect or process them only as far as necessary. Below we would like to inform you, where and to what extent this is the case. If you have any questions about privacy beyond this information, please contact us.
When visiting our website
We deliberately do not use any analysis tools on our website. For technical reasons, so-called session cookies are automatically set, when you access our website. Session cookies are small information units that a provider stores in the memory of the visitor's computer. In a session cookie a randomly generated, unique identification number is stored, a so-called session ID. In addition, a session cookie contains information about its origin and the storage period. These cookies can not save any other data. The session cookies we use will be deleted as soon as you end the session. In addition, our hosting provider keeps log files, so-called server log files, which log every access to our website. The following information is collected for each access: name (domain) of the website accessed; request (thus called page or file, if necessary incl. parameters); IP address of the visitor; date/time of the call; HTTP status code, i.e. e.g. successful polling/error code; transferred amount of data; user agent (in general the web browser used including version, extensions, operating system and language setting) of the visitor; referrer, i.e. the website from which the call was made. These log files are used in particular for (traffic) billing as well as the detection or analysis of attacks and abuse cases. The data collected and stored by our hosting provider will not be shared with third parties, including us, unless the hosting provider is legally compelled to do so (for example, by a court order). After 7 days, the log files are automatically deleted. Data whose further storage is required for evidential purposes is excluded from the deletion until the final clarification of the incident.
When contacting us
We explicitly point out that any data transmission through the internet (e.g. when communicating via e-mail) generally can involve security gaps, so that absolute protection of the data from access by third parties is not possible. For this reason, you are free to submit personal data to us in alternative ways.
Our electronic mailbox is provided by our hosting provider. Incoming e-mails and other correspondence are archived according to the legal requirements and deadlines, usually in electronic form.
As our customer, business partner and prospective customer
We collect and store a master data record of our customers, business partners and interested parties, which can regularly include the following data: first name, last name, if applicable company name; address, possibly several; telephone, fax and mobile phone numbers, possibly also several; e-mail address (s), possibly several; website; date of birth; tax number or VAT ID, if necessary also both; bank details, if applicable, including information on the SEPA direct debit mandate (reference, date); contract data such as subject matter, term and customer category.
We only save the data, if you have communicated the data to us or if we have collected it for the proper execution of the contract. An overview of your master data record is available on request from us. We will delete this data at the latest by the end of the year following the termination of the contractual relationship, unless legal regulations oppose this or the data are still needed for the execution of the contract or the enforcement of claims. If you would like to receive information about the data stored by us about you or if you wish a correction or deletion, please contact us.
Right to information
At any time you have the right to request information about your stored data, their origin, recipient and purpose of storage. Furthermore, you have the right to correct, block or delete your personal data stored by us. Finally, you can also claim the modification or revocation of a given consent.
